Our announcements are finally finished and almost all of them have been delivered! We couldn't be more happy with them! They are so perfect and we have received so many compliments on how awesome they look. I can't believe I have my wedding announcements sent out. Ever since I was a little girl I would critique and look up and down every announcement that ever got sent to our mailbox, and now people are doing that to mine! Unfortunately, the Lord was punishing me for being so judgmental to everyone who has ever made a type-o on their announcements and I made a funny one on the Temple Ceremony invites. Ha ha ha when Kason pointed it out to me AFTER they had been sent out I about died. I told everyone the luncheon was preceding the temple ceremony.....for those of you who are as dumb as I am and didn't notice... preceding means BEFORE! Ahh.. DUMB! Anyway, they only went to like 22 houses so I suppose I can't fret too much, but I still feel like a loser. It wasn't too bad getting them all stamped and addressed. My sweet grandma VeeAnn made all the return address labels and typed up every address for us. That was such a huge help and blessing and I bet it was not an easy task. I appreciate it so much grandma! I hope you know that in the mess and chaos of it all that I truly was so grateful and they were all so perfect! Maybe even too perfect...I don't think I will ever write an address again...I will just send them to you! Ha ha ha! I do have to apologize to everyone though for being a crazy lady. I don't know why it was so overwhelming and stressful, I just wanted it to be done with and in the mail. We sent out almost 900 announcements, including the separate ones I made for my school and students. I cried, I was snippy, I was mean, I yelled... It was awful! My dad was probably slipping $20's all night to Kason just so he would hang in there with me and not call it all off! I am semi back to normal now, so all is well :) ... FOR NOW!
On Thursday, March 15, 2012 was my bridal shower. It was held at my mom's house in Bunkerville. My sister Natilyn, My mom, and Kara Taylor were the ones who planned it. It was so wonderful! I am so blessed to be so loved by so many. There were over 40 people who showed up and I had to write over 50 thank-you cards for gifts that I received, from those who came and those who didn't. It was so much fun! We had a few games and tons of yummy food. The highlight of the night was when Kara showed a video of her interviewing Kason and asking him cute questions about us. He is so perfect! He teared up at the end of the video and I truly think every woman in the room fell in love with him. He is so sweet and so attentive and the way he views me and our love is so special to me. He always leaves me feeling like the luckiest girl in the world at all times. I received so many nice gifts for our house and our new lives together. People were so sweet and thoughtful to take the time to come and make me feel so special. I truly appreciated everything! I love my sweet mom for making sure everything was just right. She is the reason that this fairytale is anywhere near going to come true on April 14th. I don't deserve her or her selflessness and I will never ever fully be able to show her or have her fully understand how much I appreciate her and love her with more of my heart than I ever imagined!
