Wrekker's First Christmas

We had so much fun celebrating Wrekker's first Christmas with him this year. I finally finished his stocking, thanks to my mom! We enjoyed spending time with family. On Christmas Eve, we went down to my Grandma and Grandpa Faught's house. We spent the night in our own home waiting for Santa to come. Wrekker and I woke up early and couldn't wait any longer for dad to wake up so we woke him ourselves! We opened presents and then went down to Bunkerville for Christmas Morning Breakfast.

We love having this little boy in our lives so much! He brings us so much happiness! He is getting so big right before our eyes each day. We celebrated Grandpa Elwood's birthday by going to Texas Roadhouse with everyone. We went to church for the first time and looked so handsome with the shoes that dad used to wear when he was Wrekker's age. We went to Christmas parties and had sleepovers with Grandma Tara. This little man smiles all the time and the Christmas spirit in our home feels so wonderful now that he is here with us.

Kason and Wrekker's baby pictures. I think he looks so much like his dad! That means he will be so handsome!

National Finals Rodeo 2013

Kason and I were so blessed to be able to go to the National Finals Rodeo two nights this year. This was our first time being away from Wrekker for over 5 hours. He stayed in Bunkerville with Grandma and Grandpa, and Kason and I went to Vegas. The first night we went we couldn't make it home because it was snowing in the gorge so we had an unplanned vacation in Bunkerville. We went both Saturday nights, including the last night which is the Gold Buckle Round. We love the NFR and I was so happy Kason got to go twice! He enjoys everything about it. We saw Charlie Daniels play and we ate lots of yummy rodeo food. This might be the last year the NFR is in Vegas so we are grateful we got to go.

Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it SNOW!

On December 7th, St. George experienced weather we rarely get. It snowed more than 8 inches that night. It snowed even more the next morning! We were in Vegas for the NFR and they had to close the gorge down because cars were sliding off the road. Luckily, we could stay at my Mom and Dad's house. All of St. George was shut down basically for the weekend! It was beautiful and so fun!

Family Pictures

The Prisbrey family asked me if it would be okay if we took family pictures. I of course was mortified because Wrekker was two weeks old and I couldn't fit in anything that wasn't stretchy. I agreed and I think they turned out pretty well! My family also took a family picture that same week. YUCK! No one should ever have to be in a picture when they are 2 weeks postpartum! However, I will probably still feel that way at 2 years postpartum ha ha ha and I am so glad we have them now! They are all adorable!
