Week 31

Week 31:

  • This week our handsome baby boy is the size of a pineapple! I sure can feel him move ALL the time! Sometimes Kason even sees my belly moving and we both just look at each other with big wide eyes!
  • Saturday, was the baby shower down in Bunkerville. My mom, Natilyn, Chianne, and Kara did such a great job putting it together. There were so many nice people who came and my car was filled to the max with things for Wrekker! The diaper raffle was a huge success! We have a whole entire closet and drawer full of diapers! I hope they last longer than they probably actually will ha ha ha.
  • Monday, we went to dinner at Pancho and Lefty's and then went to help Kelton mow grandpa's lawn. Kelli and I ran some errands and went to Target while the boys worked.
  • I know this is gross to put on my public blog... But I'm like 99.9% sure I lost my mucous plug today and I'm hoping this cute boy really isn't that ready to come out just yet!
  • Thursday, we went to our Dr. Appointment and I told them I had been having pretty uncomfortable contractions lately after school and that I know he is turned head down because I have so much pressure! They had me do a few tests and then took us in for an ultrasound. They couldn't even do it over my belly because Wrekker is so low on my cervix that they can't see anything! So they did an internal ultrasound and told us that he really was super low and the reason I felt like I was holding him in at times.. Is because I basically am! Ha ha ha he told us to try and go 4 more weeks and we would assess it then, but if I felt too uncomfortable to come right in! I just want to get to a week that is safe to have him and then he can come at any time! :)

Week 30

Week 30:

  • Can you believe we are at WEEK 30? We basically have less than 10 weeks to go! Yikes! This week Wrekker is over 17 inches tall and almost 3.5 pounds!
  • On Thursday, Kason called me and told me that he had won tickets on the radio. He is such a smarty pants he always is winning us things on the radio. This time they were tickets to the huge Motocross Races in Salt Lake City. This is the first time they have had them in Utah and it is supposedly like the Superbowl of motocross for the weekend... ha ha ha I didn't care WHAT we were doing I was just so excited to get out of town! Friday morning we got all packed up so we could leave the SECOND I got home from school! It was perfect! I always say how much fun we have together, but I mean it, we have a blast every second of the whole trip no matter what we are doing! We got to our Hotel (after peeing in each city on the way up...) and we stayed in South Jordan. They told us we were on floor 5. We went up and opened the windows and literally right outside our big window was the South Jordan temple all lit up and so beautiful! I was so tired from a crazy two days of hurdling kindergartners and so I was kind of a bum. I was surprised I stayed awake until 10. We woke up early and had breakfast and then got ready to go to the race track. Kason was so excited and that made me so excited! We had a lot of fun and we both really enjoyed watching the races! I started to get really hot and I think everyone was like what is this big pregnant lady doing here?! We were there from almost 10:30-4 and so after the last 450 race Kason took me back to the hotel. I felt guilty because there was one more race, but he was so sweet and didn't even care. One of his mission companions was coming from Idaho to meet us for dinner with his girlfriend and Kason was so excited! He hadn't seen him since he left the mission. We met Marcus and Andrea at Macaroni Grill in downtown salt lake and talked and laughed with them for a while. It was really nice to meet both of them!
  • Sunday, we got the late checkout and had breakfast and soaked in the hot tub. We headed home around one and stopped and did some shopping on the way. We even ate at buffalo wild wings which was yummy! We were both so sad, we didn't want our vacation to end! We had a fun drive home (stopping in each city to pee) and then procrastinated bedtime as long as we could before Monday snuck up on us!
  • Monday, Kason had a dentist appointment and afterwords he went to his grandpa's to say hi. Somehow he got roped into finishing the big roof project and so I went and sat with him while him and his grandpa worked for hours on the roof. I felt bad, Kason was super sore and tired but is so sweet and self-less and worked so hard for his grandpa. I love that he is such a hard worker. He truly has the most admirable qualities that I only wish I could have!
  • Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, I had parent teacher conferences from 4-7 every night at school. It was rough to be at school 12 hours three days in a row. Somehow this big pregnant lady survived! Kason was so sweet to take care of me when I got home each night. I sure miss him when we spend that many hours apart during the day. Especially now that I feel so uncomfortable, he seems to be the only thing that makes me feel better!

Week 29

Week 29:

  • This week our sweet little guy is the size of a squash! (a pretty big squash if you ask me!) He is 17 inches tall and almost 3 whole pounds. I remember how much I loved him when he was just a few ounces, and now I can't even explain how excited we are to meet him now that we could hold him in our arms.
  • Friday, we spent the evening at Kelli and Kelton's house because Brandon, Kiley, and the kids are here. Kason and I went to Pancho and Lefty's together for dinner and he even let me get a fried ice cream to share with him... I think he even managed to get a few bites! Then we went and stayed pretty late hanging out with everyone as they got everything ready for my baby shower tomorrow! I am so excited! I am a little sad because my mom and sister and Chianne won't be there. My dad, mom, and Natilyn took a quick little vacation to Nashville for the weekend and so they won't be here for my one in St. George tomorrow.
  • Saturday, August 10th, we slept in a little and then I got ready to go to the baby shower which was at Kelli's house and Kason went to help the boys at his grandpa's house as they were fixing his roof. The baby shower was so fun! Lots of people came and the decorations were so adorable! Kelli, Kiley, and Sydney worked so hard and I am so grateful for all that they did to make it so perfect! They had blue punch and cute blue decorations. The food was yummy and lots of people came and brought diapers for the diaper raffle. We got lots of cute outfits and blankets for little Wrekker and we can't leave out the most important gift.... I GOT A PETUNIA PICKLE BOTTOM DIAPER BAG! I know, I am SO spoiled! Why anyone needs a designer diaper bag is beyond me..... until you have one.... and then you get it :) ha ha ha it is from basically everyone on Kelli's side of the family and it is orange and grey and just the one I wanted! Now I can finish my hospital bag packing and we can REALLY say we are ready! After the shower, we wanted to go to dinner because it was Kelton's Birthday. The boys were still at Grandpa's working and it had turned into a MUCH bigger project than anyone had anticipated... we had a few grumpy husbands and we were all starving and ready to go to dinner! We went to outback and had such a good time with everyone. After dinner we went back to the Prisbrey's and played ticket to ride with them. We love that game. I love that we play games as a family together, I think that is one of my favorite things about the Prisbrey's. (for my cute mom who is reading this... you are not a failure ha ha ha we have tons of fun things we do as a family too, this is just theirs!) I don't know how those children stay asleep because we all laugh so hard!
  • Monday, was our first day back to school with children. Kindergarten doesn't start until Thursday, but today, Tuesday, and Wednesday, we are testing kindergartners all day and so it still felt like a real week of school. I turned in my Dr's note and so I get to sport around flip flops all day.. I am going to milk this one as long as I can! I am loving every second of it!
  • Tuesday night my mom and dad stopped by our house and told us all about their fun vacation and gave us our souvenirs! They brought Wrekker a cute onesie, Kason a very handsome shirt, and a really cute coral pink maxi skirt for me! We are so grateful they thought of us and love our new gear! It was fun to have them over and visit with them.
  • Wednesday, my mom and Natilyn surprised me in my classroom for lunch and ate in here with me. That was nice!  I didn't get too long of a break but it was fun to visit with them while we could! Wednesday night I had back to school night and so I was all nervous to meet my parents and have to present for them. It went really well! Kason had his last night of bowling and so I was sad I couldn't go and watch him get his award. His team came in 3rd place overall! I was so impressed! He never ceases to amaze me!
  • Thursday, was well... awful! It was the first day of school. I got up and have been in a good habit of reading my scriptures after making lunches and Kason leaves and got all ready for school. I even got here 30 minutes early. I just forgot how hard new kindergartners were. I was ready to up and leave at 10:00. I really thought these crazy kids were going to put me into labor! At the end of the day I just cried! Kason was so sweet and took care of me all night. He took me to Durangos for dinner and then tickled my back all night. I swear something different happened that day though because I have felt so different ever since. I really think that Wrekker has turned straight up and down as opposed to being sideways in my tummy because I feel so much pressure! I can feel how hard my belly is going up and down as opposed to sideways too. I wonder if he is feet first and will still be moving a lot or if he is head first and will stay that way until he comes?!

Week 28

Week 28:

  • This week Baby Wrekker is a little more than 2.5 pounds and almost 16 inches long! It is crazy to think there is a 16 inch baby squirming around in this big belly of mine. I am only at 9 pounds gained since I found out I was pregnant. I haven't decided if that is good or bad. Everyone keeps telling me I look incredibly small for being 28 weeks pregnant...Which you would think makes me feel fabulous, but then my brain starts telling me that I must be doing something wrong and maybe that is why Wrekker is too small...
  • This weekend Kason let me buy an old banged up desk on the online yard sale page for $20. Ever since my mom came and we busted out our sewing machines I decided no seemstress deserves to sew on a fold out plastic table.... ha ha ha. We brought our desk home and I had it sanded and painted in a few hours! Kason was a sweetheart and did most of the sanding since my big huge belly tends to get in the way of, well, everything! We painted it coral pink! EEEK! I know! It is ADORABLE and looks so perfect in my sewing/guest room. I guess I need to officially learn to sew now that I am legit right?
  • Monday, was my first official day back at school. This is the week that teachers come before school starts next week. We had meetings, meetings, and more meetings. I spent a lot of time here after school and at night because we literally didn't even have time to work in our rooms, that is how ridiculous our meetings were! Part of our dress code is that we can't wear open toed shoes, so on my first day back I tried to squeeze into my flats (for the first time all summer) and I wore them gracefully for a few hours and then seriously couldn't walk anymore. I have fat feet syndrome....do you think Dr.'s will write notes for things like that? ha ha ha I think I am going to ask at our appointment this week!
  • Tuesday, we went to our 28 week appointment. From here on our is when our monitoring on Wrekker starts to make sure that he is keeping up in his size and weight. The doctor is nuts and said that really any baby born after 28 weeks is totally fine..... ha ha ha I almost died! I am ready to have this baby... but not this week! :) We had to do our glucose test while we were there. We scheduled it for 8am because we both were supposed to be at work today. The test took an hour, you had to drink this orange drink and just wait it out until the hour was up. The drink itself wasn't even gross, but a few minutes into it, I started feeling really sick. I thought I was going to pass out. I just kept pacing the floor and Kason I'm sure just kept putting up with me. Then we had to draw blood and get a tetnis shot.....yuck! I am such a baby. I hate shots! I think I almost would rather feel every inch of this baby come out of me, than know they are sticking a needle in me for the epidural! Our glucose results came back just fine and Wrekker showed some good improvements! We got to see his cute little face in the ultrasound. I can't stop looking at it. I PRAY he looks just like Kason. My heart will just melt if he is even half as handsome as my sweet husband.
  • I think this week I started having my first meet and greet with Braxton Hicks. My belly would get so hard and be so uncomfortable. Sometimes I feel like my belly doesn't grow fast enough for the big guy inside of it! I know real contractions will be much worse, but these have been very unpleasant the last few days.

Week 27

Week 27:
  • This week Wrekker is almost 15 inches long and over two pounds. Our baby book says that this is the week that his brain waves start making more connections and allow him to dream while he is sleeping. Isn't that crazy that they are able to tell that stuff? I mean what would he possibly be dreaming about? I hope I am a lot prettier in his dreams because Kason teased me the other day that I was being fake with these Chalkboards and we should start getting real and taking them in my PJ's and un-showered hair...I guess he is implying that that must be what I really look like to him.
  • Thursday, we got to leave for Lake Mead! I seriously thought I might go crazy sitting at home all day until 2:30 when Kason got off. I literally had the car running when he got home and everything laid out for his shower so he could just be so fast! I probably drove him nuts! It was a long drive because we had to dock at Calville Bay because both Overton Beach and Echo Bay are closed for houseboats because the lake is so low. It took us almost 2.5 hours to get there but boy was I excited to see that blue lake! Ever since I was a little girl we have gone on a houseboat trip almost every summer and it has been almost 2 years since our last one so I was itchin' for some lake time! This pregnant belly got us a free stay in a bed inside the houseboat which was amazing because we have never slept anywhere but outside in the +100 degree middle of the night weather. We spent the weekend riding jet skis and they even took Kason and I on the tube on a very slow leisurely ride. It was different being pregnant because I felt like I couldn't really do anything but everyone was so sweet about it and Kason was so cautious and kind with every move I made. I sure love that handsome boy! Saturday, we played most of the day and cleaned the houseboat on our way into the dock. We unloaded and of course stopped for ice cream at the Inside Scoop in Overton. It is tradition to stop there and have the yummiest ice cream ever, especially after unloading the houseboat on a hot, hot afternoon!
  • We have been loving Kason's jeep. I make him take me for a ride almost every night in it. It is so relaxing and so much fun to be with him in it. He is a little too adventurous for me and just because the jeep can off road...doesn't mean it should ha ha ha.
  • I spent the rest of this week deep cleaning our house. I seriously cleaned and organized every room, closet, cupboard, drawer.. you get the idea! It looks amazing! I finished decorating a few of the rooms in our house and we are baby ready! I even text my mom when I was done this week and told her I was packing my hospital back because it was the last thing I had to do before he came and I wanted it off my to-do list! ha ha ha (you laugh...but it is really packed!)
  • On Wednesday, my mom came up and helped me make Wrekker's crib bedding. It looks adorable and she is so amazing! We had it whipped out in like less than two hours! He is one lucky dude to have such an awesome grandma! His nursery is pretty much finished now and if I must say so myself...it is probably the cutest nursery around! :) I hope we love our other children as much as this guy ha ha ha (joking)
